Nooo, Not water!

Today's post is absolutely about water because I don't like how it taste. I don't like how it smell (look, there are other issues going on if your water has a foul smell 🤣), looks, or cost. In fact, if water is a natural resource, why isn't it free? I know it seems as if I'm throwing a temper tantrum and I am. I'm throwing the tantrum because it's recorded as the first change we need to make when considering living healthier or desire weight loss yet it's the hardest thing to change if you don't like to drink it. With that statement, I'll pose the question of what do you desire more? What means more to you? Do you desire an healthier life over drinking whatever you want? If so, then you have to stop drinking liquids with calories or more than 2 grams of sugar in them. That's easy to say! It sure is easy because water is the only drinkable liquid that our body reacts to in a positive manner. Your body will let you know if you do not have enough water as well so don't wait until you are thirsty to dink it (Lliades, 2010). It is a mineral with lots and lots of benefits. Your kidneys love it because it helps it breakdown waste for you (Lliades, 2010). Your blood loves it and flows better when you have it in your system. Your skin and hair loves it. Your body loves it so much, it gives you hints of if you had enough water by color coding your urine. So why don't you love it? I say because it has no taste!

We're right and that's exactly why most humans don't love it. I used to drink Sweet Tea all day and night thinking Tea is good for me because all the diets give it as an alternative to water. I was right to find an alternative but negated the fact that sweet tea has a lot of sugar and dranked it to fit my desire of sugar. The truth is that tea is good for you without the added sugar and so is coffee. If you can't stomach tea without the sugar use two teaspoons of honey or sugar alternatives but thats it. Although finding alternatives is a good start. Fact is, your body needs pure water. It functions best with it so drink at least 8 ounce cups of it daily. A great way to track your liquid intake is by adding a water tracker App to your mobile device. Below is a photo of the one I use. I set it to beep every hour so that I know when to drink water.

If you like me, know you can not stomach more than 8 cups and you still do not like it, look for an alternative that is good for you and you may end up loving. I myself drink Walmart brand water because it is cheap, it taste like sodas/pop, and has no sugar or calories. My favorite is the peach flavor but I'll settle for strawberry or apple if golden peach is sold out. Another alternative is using fruit. Using kool aid as an alternative can add color if you just can't stand how water is clear like the IV bag your going to need if you continue to not drink water.😆😂🤣. Notice i said, add the color but said nothing about adding sugar. What about smoothies? Well, Smoothies and juices are good but not good enough to replace water. You also have to remember that smoothie's and juice's are made using fresh or frozen vegetables and fruit which has calories and sugars in them. The goal is to limit our calorie and sugar intake and increasing our water intake

Finally, I'll leave you with this. In order to commit to an healthier lifestyle and lose weight, you must commit to changing your liquids that you drink from sodas/pop, juices, and beer to water. Lliades (2010), stated that drinking water will curve your food intake helping you eat less. When dining out, drink water. When buying salads or sandwiches at fast food resturants, drink water. When just washing down butterless popcorn at the movies, drink water. Your body will thank you for it! Below is a link to fact check my post. Until next time, drink water 😥.
